Been awhile since I made a journal here. Moved to Vancouver back in August, got a full-time job as an animator for Bardel Entertainment. Great job, great city, but it's left me very busy. As such, I havent had as much time for personal work (especially for traditional art, as i've had to leave a lot of supplies behind, as well as my art desk). I DID howver finally replace my old Bamboo tablet with a 22-inch Cintiq, which is badasssssss. I've already sketched out plans for new paintings to try, in addition to speedpaints and other things. Also been plugging away at thumbailing a personal comic, which i hsould be able to start inking in January.

Been some time since I posted a journal, figured I could use an update. Been a very busy year of college, but now my thesis film is finally completed, and I've graduated and started my job hunt (got to be ready to pay that crippling college debt!). I'll post my thesis film here soon, and I've got more artwork in the pipeline, as always.

It's been awhile since I've put up a journal, figured I'd make a new one. So I've finally got through 3rd year at Sheridan College's animation program, though I haven't yet secured a summer co-op, which i still need. Hopefully I'll have the time to draw (and post) more artwork in the months before 4th year. I'll also be able to catch up on all the gaming I've missed (Bioshock Infinite and Dead Space 3 are incredible)

Hopefully all is well with everyone else. I've got several in-progress works and a backlog of sketches to post soon, hopefully.

Hope everyone's having a good Christmas/winter holiday! I hope to post a better update soon (as well as some actual art again).

So my summer's been pretty enjoyable. Got to have some vacation, played lots of videogames, watched lots of movies, did lots of art, among other things.

Didn't really get any real prep work done for year 3, it's hard to animate without all the wonderful tools college gives us. And while I got a new desktop to do work on, i have to wait til September to get new Photoshop software for it. But I did a lot of sketching, which I will be able to scan and post in September. And I've been slowly working on some more art pieces.

On the entertainment front, I've discovered the wonderful world of Team Fortress 2. And holy hells is it addictive. If anyone who reads this is a fan of the game, give me your Steam account so we may make wonderful carnage together. Also got my Left4dead 2 working, so that's fun too.

On the movie front, all the summer films I gushed about in my last journal proved to be as awesome as I hoped. But The Dark Knight Returns just trumped everything except Avengers. Such a beautifully executed masterpiece, the perfect sendoff to Nolan's Batman franchise. Hopefully his producer-role in Zack Snyder's Superman reboot will pay off.

I also just saw ParaNorman at the local theatre, and was similarly blown away. Stop-motion animation will always have a special place in my heart.

Heading to Fanexpo for a day this month, hope to catch some fellow deviants at artist alley! And buy ALL the swag I can.
